From 15 to 17 September, Dortmund, Germany, once again hosted the world’s largest tobacco trade fair, InterTabac, which, after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, was back with renewed vigour and more than 600 exhibitors. Continental Tobacco Group was present at the event, as it has been every time since 2003, with a significant contingent of experts and a stand of its own to build international relations and support sales processes.
This year, the major meeting once again hosted the world’s leading tobacco industry players. The focus was on trends in the regulation of the new generation of tobacco products, with Pablo Cano Trilla, CEO of legal analyst firm TobaccoIntelligence, among others, giving a presentation entitled “EU overview: market and regulatory trends for alternative tobacco products”. The event also provided an opportunity to learn about new, exclusive products and manufacturing techniques.
As the primary professional platform for the international tobacco industry, InterTabac plays a key role in the life of Continental Tobacco Group every year – during the three-day meeting, the company’s representatives met with a number of potential partners and suppliers, and the participation this time also effectively supported Continental’s international network and sales processes.
Csaba Füzi, CEO of Continental Tobacco said that based on the three days of meetings and the discussions with the visitors, he considers the trip to Dortmund a success. He added that not only the fact that they were returning after a two-year hiatus, but also the fact that celebrities such as Mike Tyson were present near the Continental stand made this year’s InterTabac particularly memorable.
