Keeping up with the tradition, Continental Tobacco has awarded its employees for their outstanding performance during the year with the Kossuth Prize. This year a record number of 20 employees took home the award, that comes with a certificate and a cash prize, handed over by the CEO of the company, Csaba Füzi. The ceremony was held at the Latabár Kálmán Theatre in Sátoraljaújhely.

The award ceremony now looking back to a history of 16 years was first held in conjunction with the Christmas celebration in 2006 in its current form. The Kossuth Prize awarded at the ceremony was named after one of the most famous products of the Sátoraljaújhely tobacco factory, the Kossuth cigarette, which marketed for 63 years and was the company’s last cigarette without a smoke filter. The Kossuth Prize, in addition to being the most prestigious a form of recognition for outstanding performance, also helps to build the momentum of the coming year and to further inspire employees.

The award ceremony held at Latabár Kálmán Theatre was followed by a dinner at Rákóczi Hotel. Based on their performance during the year, 20 employees praised by Csaba Füzi, CEO of Continental Tobacco received the award presented by the owners of the company. The dedicated work of these employees also supported the successful realization of the HUF 10 billion investment of the handover of the new tobacco preparation plant and the modernization od the traditional production line, which is an important milestone in the company’s life.
