Continental Tobacco Group participated as an exhibitor at the World Tobacco Middle East in Dubai. The two-day event, held on October 26—27 was a large exhibition where the representatives of the tobacco industry met for the first time in almost two years in the heart of the United Arab Emirates. At the exhibition Csaba Füzi, CEO of Continental Tobacco Corp. and Tibor Gosztonyi, Export director represented Continental and managed to further strengthen the company’s international relations.

Despite the pandemic-induced restrictions more than 150 professional experts visited the two-day exhibition at the World Trade Centre in Dubai – proving that the face-to-face meetings and offline, personal connections are still important and play a key role in business life as well.

By participating as an exhibitor with its own stand, Continental’s aim was to increase the sales of premium cigars, cigarettes, shisha, tobacco and expanded tobacco cut rag in a region where the marketing and trading of tobacco is still very much alive and busy. Furthermore, the exhibition – where many of the industry’s global experts and professionals were present – has also been a great opportunity for Continental’s representatives to arrange meetings and start new collaborations with international suppliers.

According to the CEO and Export director, these meetings were successful and prosperous, since they were able to further increase and extend the company’s international presence and network. In addition, it is also expected that these meetings are going to be realized in the form of new business deals in the future, they added.

The WT Middle East exhibition, organized by WT Process and Machinery was originally planned for January this year, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic the organizers decided to reschedule the event to the last quarter of the year.
