Continental Tobacco Group Participated as a Visitor at TABEXPO 2025 in Geneva
Continental Tobacco Group participated with a six-member leadership delegation at the TABEXPO 2025 event, held in May at the PALEXPO Exhibition Centre in Geneva. Recognized as one of the most important professional events in the international tobacco industry, this year’s exhibition and conference welcomed attendees under the motto “Innovating the Future of the Tobacco Industry,” with a strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and strengthening industry collaboration.
TABEXPO brought together stakeholders involved in the manufacturing and processing of tobacco and nicotine products through an exclusive exhibition, conference, and targeted networking event. The event served as an ideal platform for industry dialogue, the presentation of forward-looking technologies, and the establishment of new business relationships.
The choice of Switzerland as the venue was no coincidence: the country is home to the world’s largest tobacco companies – including the regional headquarters, research centers, and production facilities of Philip Morris International, British American Tobacco, and Japan Tobacco International. Today, the future of the industry is being shaped at the intersection of complex factors such as changing regulatory environments, shifting consumer behavior, and the rise of new technological solutions.
The Continental team made targeted visits to exhibitors whose portfolios closely align with their own areas of activity – from product development and tobacco and raw material procurement to export operations and manufacturing technologies. Among the attendees were Péter Steinhauser, Director of Production, Tibor Gosztonyi, Director of Export, and Gabriella Józsa, Head of Procurement, all of whom engaged in valuable professional discussions with partners relevant to their respective fields. The delegation also placed particular emphasis on innovations related to alternative nicotine products.
Beyond the official program, the team held numerous productive discussions with industry professionals and partners, including some who were present as visitors rather than exhibitors. These meetings covered topics such as long-term cooperation, the introduction of new technologies, and improving the flexibility of the supply chain.
For over 30 years, TABEXPO has toured major European cities – from Vienna and Barcelona to Paris, London, and Amsterdam – and in 2025, Geneva hosted the event for the first time. Returning in a new format, TABEXPO 2025 made it clear that the event remains an essential forum for professionals and companies dedicated to shaping an innovative, dynamic, and sustainable future for the tobacco industry.
Being present at key industry events is of strategic importance for the company. Participation at the exhibition reaffirmed our commitment to continuously evolve and actively shape the future of the tobacco industry in cooperation with our partners.
